Increased Risk Of Developing Diabetes After COVID-19 Infection – May Be As High As 66%

COVID-19 infection is being correlated with more and more long term symptoms, often referred to as Long COVID or PASC. Beyond that, infection is being tied to possible increased risks of Alzheimer’s Disease, seizures, and now diabetes! (Video linked below on Alzheimers and seizures!)

New study published in Nature evaluated 8 studies done comparing those without previous COVID-19 infection to those with previous COVID-19 infection. They found an increased for diabetes of 66% in those with previous COVID-19 infection compared to those without previous COVID-19 infection! This was independent of age and gender.
