COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths are all down substantially in the U.S. with restrictions loosened in most places. But the nation is still losing more than a thousand people a day on average to the virus, and as cases rise in Europe and elsewhere, some experts wonder if there will be a new surge.
